Fun filled day!
Yesterday we took the girls out to a park for a picnic and well, just to let them run, get tired, so we could go home and take a nap! Yeah, I know it sounds bad, but we like our nap times! The park is pretty big, with a small lake, a playground area, picnic tables throughout. We brought some kiddie fishing poles, but my DH rigged them and we did not want to look too redneckish (there was lots of other families there, guess they had the same idea as us!) so they got left in the car. I recently found out that my camera can be programmed to take black & white shots, so I had fun with that! Thanks Kris!
We didn't do too much else this weekend, just kindof took it easy. We did rent a cute movie for the girls to watch on the "big screen." Ya'll would laugh, promise we don't rig up everything, but hey whatever works! We have a projector screen, but it's not big enough for DH (it's like 60-70 inches) so he had me make a really big one out of a king size sheet, the picture is flawless though and the girls LOVE IT!!! Oh, the movie we watched was "flushed away," I had never heard of it before, but it really was cute, and the kiddo's liked it, so now it's on the list of things we need to get!
Lily starts school (kindergarten) next week, so I took her up to the school today to take some pictures marking this BIG event, I will publish those at a later time, working on something!
Hope ya'll had a great weekend too!

Your pictures are FANTASTIC! I tell ya I am beginning to want to learn more about photography after seeing what you and Kris can do with your cameras. I don't know that I have the eye for it though. I am so impressed.
70 inches isn't enough? I bet it is fun to watch a movie at your house!! :) Ryan would love it! :) Must be a guy thing.
Have a great Monday!
great photos!!!!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time- I can't view the photos for some reason at work, so I'll check back when I get off, dying to see them!!
I'm loving the telephoto by the way!
The pics are awesome...is there nothing you can't do??
Glad you and the fam had a nice time at the park. Hope everyone had a good nap!

Your photographic skills are very enviable. Ah, someday I will develop the patience to learn (I hope ;0)
You got some great photos and sounds like you had a great time. Love nap time too.
Glad you had a great weekend Angela.
My fave pic? "Where'd she go?"- LOVE IT.
By the way, don't buy any color filters, they are IN your camera menu somewhere (god don't ask)- blue, sepia, purple hues for b&w along with your standard b&w filters (red, yellow, etc)... as for the filters you mentioned? Totally going to shop today... (spot, starlight, etc)...
I see your having fun with that camera. Great pictures! See you Saturday.

Yeah! I now have you on bloglines so I won't miss a thing! I loved meeting you at the bloggy bash!
We just got a projector and my DH is the same way, wants it big! He bought so "special paint" for projectors and is painting the wall so that we don't need a screen. It is not expensive and you have to repaint about every year to 18 months.
Ian starts school in a a little over a week too, I am bummed because I will miss him so much!
Ladybug hugs,
Debbie
BTW ~ Loved the pic's!

I can't believe school is starting soon....ugh. Glad you had fun doing the park thing.
