My little three year old!
Happy Birthday my little Madilyn! We had her Birthday party this past weekend, but her Birthday is not actually until June 4th. I can't believe she is already 3, wow time goes by fast! It's sad but we started this adoption process when she was just 16 months old, ARGH!!! Hopefully we will be able to complete it before she graduates from High School! She picked Hello Kitty a while back for the theme of her party, and I had fun making the cake as always! It was actually easier this year, I found a Hello Kitty candle, and just stuck it on the cake.
I only had to mix three different colors of icing, instead of several, so it did not take as long as normally. I know that it would probably be much easier (and less expensive) to just buy a cake, but hey, I enjoy doing it, and I hope that they will remember and appreciate that I did.
This is one of the things that Matt does'nt understand, he thinks I have too much to do, and not enough time to spend making things that I do. I just can't help it, that's me, and these are the kinds of things that I take to heart, I want to pass these things down to my kids, and that's just one of the ways that I can show them just how much I love my little girlie girls!
Over all I think the day was perfect, the weather was great, we had a big blow up water slide set up for the kids and for the little ones Mimi (Matt's mom) set up a pool. There was hotdogs for lunch ,we thought about wings, but did'nt think that the kids could handle the hot sauce, by the way if ya'll like wings, there is a great place it's Buffalo's Wild Wings, and OMG they're good! MMMMM!!! They have lots of sauces to choose from, and you can buy the stuff in bottles to take home, our fav's are Spicey Garlic, and Asian Zing.
Well, We are gonna be a little busy the next week, so there will be no new posts coming. But I will of course be checking in on all of my bloggy friends!
