Howdy!
Well, well, I've been having some fun! A little over a year and a half ago, my DH's sister and her husband got two yearlings, one filly who's name is Trixie (pictured above) and a stud colt who has been known by many things, starting with Hank, they did not like that name, so when they brought them home, it changed to Sampson, but was called all kind of things one of them being Satan. Believe it or not they got these two beauties from a lady who breads Paints, in Mississippi. When solid foals are born, she automatically decides to take them to auction when they are old enough. Well, when she met my SIL she told them, if they drove all the way to pick them up, then they could just have them!!!
Trixie was actually the troubled one to begin with, it took them around 6 hours just to get her on the trailer, then she was so skiddish, they could not get her halter on when it fell off. But now she's a really sweet horse, she's easy to work with, and is just BEAUTIFUL! she started out being a Bay, but it looks like she's more of a Buckskin.
Now Sampson ( known to family and friends as Sam) has always been a bit of a bully, not in a mean way, but well, he's just got too much hormons running through him! If he sees you with food, look out, he'll push you over to try to get it. They are planning on getting him gelded sometime soon, if they decide to keep them. My sister in law is the one who just had her SECOND set of twin boys, and she pretty much has her hands full, not to mention the chickens, dogs, cat, and garden, to have to take care of. So any way, for now they are here, and I will take full advantage to be able to play with them. They will be three years old next April, so are not quite old enough to break yet, but they have been able to put the saddle and bridle on them a couple of times, and my BIN has gotten up on Trixie several times, and Sam a couple. I was down last weekend, and got up on Trixie (not gonna post those pics!) she's really not gonna be that hard to break, but Sam, well, again, something's gotta go!!!

wow, our posts can go together.
You sound like you know what your talking about girl! I know NOTHING about horses. Just that they're pretty.
I was told by my husband that our female is in heat, which is why she is chasing our male all around.
i said, "oh really?"
he said "yep, look at her, she's winking at him"
so I was checking out her eyes to see her winking at him.
Darren had to set me straight on what "winking" meant!!!!!!
hee-hee!!!!!!
fresh girl!!!!!!! No wonder she keeps chasing our poor horse around...she wants a little sompin-sompin!!!!
That's so funny! Is he a gelding, or is she just not his type?
Trixie and Sam are half brother and sister so I sure hope that he gets clipped before she ever goes into estrose!
