Babies all around!
It seems that this is the year for babies around here. Not only am I starting to think we will have ours by the end of the year (Good Lord I hope so!) but three of my sisters in law are expecting. The first one is due in October, but she will be having a scheduled c-section, this is her third pregnancy, and fifth child. BOTH of her previous ones were twins. ALL BOYS!!!
Yeah, it's quite FUN when we all get together!
The second one is due in November (Hi Jen Jen, yes I finally posted!) we don't know yet what it will be boy or girl, and the third is due in December also don't know, blue or pink.
Several of the people who I have been able to meet along the way have recently gotten their precious daughters. Three of whom, just got them today, actually around 4 a.m. our time. I have been a mad woman the past few days, stalking blogs for pictures and updates! I was even tempted to get up before dawn to check for any new posts. Having these women receive their babies is starting to get me excited again! I have had over three years to get stuff done, and now that I have kept putting it off, I am wondering if I will be able to finish in time. I am also starting to worry. I don't suppose it is any different for others, I worry about attachment issues for her, I've read up on these things, and I know that I will have to parent her much differently at first and probably even for a good while than our other two girls. I know that I will get told by some that I am spoiling her, but I will do what is best for her. PERIOD.
I am not against co-sleeping, we did it (and still do at times) with Lily and Madilyn, so I always knew that we would be doing it with our third as well. I am a little worried about how much time I will investing in her, and I don't want to make the other girls feel "left out." It is very important for us to gain her trust, before she can start to bond with us, we will have to proove to her that we are not going to leave her, and that we will meet every one of her needs.
I have picked out a hip carrier that I will be getting before we travel, and I am sure it will be used quite a bit in our everyday lives, even after we get home. It is suppose to be the best of all hip carriers, and not hurt your back, or dig into your neck/shoulder.
There is now only 21 days of Log In Days before us. I am hopeful that we will have a referral by the end of September, and any earlier would be amazing!
I have got to get in the babies room and start going through what I have. Make lists of what I still need, and start to pick up stuff at the store whenever I go. I know it will be much easier for me if I try to keep organized, if I let it get down to the wire, I will not get much sleep, as I tend to lay there for hours going over in my mind what still needs to be done. So I will have to make me some sort of check list, to keep my (and the DH's) sanity.
We have again started playing the name game. You knowthe one, I like a name, he doesn't, he likes a name I don't. Well, I think we may have a winner folks, still not too sure about a middle name.
But I'm not telling just yet!
Oh, and about more babies. The horses that my sister-n-law used to have, well, they gave them to a cousin right down the road from them, so every time we are there, I drive down to see them. For months, and months, I kept telling them that Trixie looked pregnant (the stud colt never got fixed, and he is now a fully grown stallion) Well about two weeks ago, I got the call that I have been expecting for a while, she had a baby boy!
Take a look, he is just a LITTLE cute!
