Honoring a fallen star!

Well, today was a sad day for many Race Horse fans. Barbaro, the Kentucky Derby winner was put to rest this morning, after many months of recovery from his broken leg.
I hated to hear this, I was so hoping he would survive. I was pulling for him to win the Preakness, and as soon as he broke through the gates early, I knew he would not win the race, but little did I know (or even imagine) what was about to happen next. It broke my heart when I saw him hoping, and knew immediately that his leg was broken.
My heart goes out to his Owners, Trainers, Veterinarians, and his Jockey for never giving up on this beautiful horse!
He will never be forgotten.
