Tim and Faith

This past Friday night we went to Birmingham, to see the Soul2Soul II concert with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. It was a great concert! And yes these two are just as sickiningly (is that even a word) gorgeous in person. It was very loud though, sometimes you could'nt tell what they were even saying, but it was still worth it. We ended up paying way to much to go. When the tickets went on sale, we wanted 4 seats together to go with friends, but at the time the system was only letting us get two, so we bought 2 in one section and 2 in another, and our friends did the same. That afternoon, we looked again, and it was letting us get 4 together, so then we had 4 sets of tickets to sell. I posted them on ebay, and had the hardest time selling them. NEVER would I have thought that! At the end, we ended up still having one set to sell, so when we got to the civic center, we tried to sell them. No one wanted these tickets (they were ON THE FLOOR!) So we just gave them to a really young couple, who we met while walking from the parking deck, they were very thankful as their seats were in the nose bleed section.
After the concert we ran into them again, and they were so excited, and then we found out that they had driven that morning all the way from Louisiana to see this concert. To me I was so happy to have made this couples day, I did not even care that we lost $197.00 on these two tickets. We exchanded addresses with them, and are gonna send some pictures that we all took. Unfortunatley, I did not get very many good ones, that is why I did not post my own pictures. But the memory will last forever! We had originally planned to take Lily (SHE LOVES FAITH HILL) but decided it would just be too much for her. On Valentine's day we took her to see Keith Urban (ALSO LOVES HIM, mommy does too!) and we ended up leaving early cause she got tired. Maybe when she is a little older!

I listened to that song "a wish for you" that you told me about, and I love it! I listen to it all the time now and think about my little one waiting in China.

I know, it's a great song, and the words just seem to fit perfectly, does'nt it? I HAVE to figure out how to add it on my blog!!!

What a great night! I love the new Faith Hill CD. I plan on playing 'Wish For You' as a lullabye. I think it is so pretty.

I was going to add it to my blog, but the link is incorrect on the one song site.

When I read your story I kept thinking about the movie Pay It Forward. (Don't know why, my brain??) :) You did that at the concert. It is such a great feeling.

Stacy, that is so weird! someone mentioned that movie to me the other day, and then it was on T.V. Tuesday night. Loved that movie, until the end!

Glad you enjoyed the concert- I'm a Faith Hill fan as well!

Just wanted to thank you for the kind words that you left on my blog recently. I am feeling much better thanks to the good will of others, and am looking forward to all the mystery that lies ahead. Thanks again!
